The General who saved New Orleans visited our office today. (I work in the entertainment industry, and we represent him.) New Orleans is one of those visceral cities for me. I went to college there and have very rich, sensory memories of it that will stay with me forever. I often wonder what more I could be doing to help the slow-going recovery. It's strange how little we hear about New Orleans and the Katrina-affected areas these days. As they say, it is "the city that care forgot." It's still like losing a friend. I miss it.
